1. Information We Do Not Collect

CJIS Daily does not:

  • Collect or store Criminal Justice Information (CJI)
  • Collect personal identifiers (name, email, location)
  • Use third-party analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics)
  • Use advertising SDKs or share data with advertisers
  • Require user accounts or sign-in
  • Track usage across apps or websites

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App may store limited information locally on your device, such as:

  • Notification time preference (if you enable daily reminders)
  • Theme preference (light/dark mode)
  • Quiz completion status and streak count

This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to Copano Studios or any third party. There is no cloud sync and no server-side storage.

3. Notifications

CJIS Daily may request permission to send local notifications for daily reminders. Notification settings are controlled by your device’s operating system (iOS) and can be changed at any time in Settings.

4. Third Parties & Data Sharing

CJIS Daily does not share data with third parties and does not include third-party analytics or advertising. If third-party services are added in the future, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect.

5. Security

CJIS Daily is designed as an awareness tool and does not connect to CJIS systems, law enforcement databases, or operational environments. Because the App does not transmit data off-device, risk is minimized by design.

6. Children’s Privacy

CJIS Daily is intended for professional use by adults. It is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Disclaimer

CJIS Daily is an independent awareness and training aid. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FBI or the U.S. Department of Justice and does not replace official CJIS training or policy documentation.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. When changes are made, the Last Updated date above will be revised.
